1. Acceptance of Terms

By booking an appointment, accessing our website, or receiving services at Bare Laser & Skin Studio ("we," "us," "our," or "the Studio"), you ("client," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not book or attend appointments.

2. Services Provided

Bare Laser & Skin Studio specializes in laser hair removal and IPL skin rejuvenation treatments. All services are provided by certified and licensed esthetician professionals in a private, home-based studio setting located in West Edmonton.

Please Note: We currently do not offer laser hair removal for intimate areas on male clients.

3. Booking & Appointments

3.1 Booking Confirmation

All appointments must be booked through our online booking system at https://api.leadconnectorhq.com/booking/barelaserandskinstudio or by contacting us directly at 587-413-5207.

Your appointment is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email or text message.

Appointment slots are limited and are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.

3.2 Appointment Changes

If you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.

We will make every reasonable effort to accommodate rescheduling requests based on availability.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1 Cancellation Notice Required

Clients must provide a minimum of 48 hours advance notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment without penalty.

Notice must be provided by phone at 587-413-5207, email at [email protected], or through our online booking system.

4.2 Late Cancellation Fee

Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will incur a $50 cancellation fee.

This fee will be charged to the credit card on file.

The cancellation fee helps compensate for the reserved time slot that could have been offered to another client.

4.3 No-Show Policy

Failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice ("no-show") will result in a $50 fee charged to your credit card on file.

Repeated no-shows may result in the requirement of prepayment for future appointments or denial of future bookings.

4.4 Emergency Circumstances

We understand that emergencies happen. In cases of medical emergencies, severe illness, or unforeseen circumstances beyond your control, please contact us to discuss your situation. We will work with you on a case-by-case basis.

5. Payment Terms

5.1 Accepted Payment Methods

We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and cash.

A valid credit card must be on file for all appointments.

5.2 Payment Due

Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless alternative arrangements have been made in advance.

Package deals and promotional pricing must be paid in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise specified.

5.3 Pricing

All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD).

Prices are subject to change without notice, though any changes will not affect services already booked or packages already purchased.

Current pricing is available on our website and during consultation.

6. Medical History & Health Disclosure

6.1 Accurate Information Required

Clients are required to complete a comprehensive Medical Health History Form prior to receiving treatment.

You agree to provide complete, accurate, and truthful information regarding your medical history, current medications, skin conditions, and any other relevant health information.

6.2 Client Responsibility

By signing the Medical Health History Form, you acknowledge and agree that: All information provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. You have disclosed all relevant medical conditions, medications, allergies, and previous cosmetic treatments. You understand that failure to disclose accurate information may increase risks associated with treatment. You accept full responsibility for any complications or adverse reactions that may result from incomplete or inaccurate disclosure.

6.3 Updates to Medical Information

You agree to inform us immediately of any changes to your medical history, medications, or health conditions between appointments.

We reserve the right to refuse or postpone treatment if we determine that your current health status poses an unacceptable risk.

7. Treatment Risks & Informed Consent

7.1 Acknowledgment of Risks

You acknowledge that laser hair removal and IPL treatments, like all cosmetic procedures, carry inherent risks.

Possible side effects may include, but are not limited to: Temporary redness, swelling, or sensitivity Skin discoloration (hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation) Blistering or burns (rare) Scarring (very rare) Paradoxical hair growth (rare) Eye injury if safety protocols are not followed

7.2 Assumption of Risk

By receiving treatment at Bare Laser & Skin Studio, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with the procedure, whether known or unknown.

You acknowledge that results may vary and that individual outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

You understand that multiple treatment sessions are typically required to achieve desired results.

7.3 Professional Standards

All treatments are performed by certified professionals using industry-standard equipment and protocols.

We follow strict safety procedures to minimize risks and ensure your comfort and safety throughout the treatment process.

8. Pre-Treatment & Post-Treatment Care

8.1 Client Responsibilities

You agree to follow all pre-treatment instructions provided, including but not limited to: Shaving the treatment area 24 hours prior to your appointment Avoiding sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks before treatment Discontinuing waxing, plucking, threading, or epilating for at least 6 weeks before treatment Informing us of any medications or supplements that may cause photosensitivity

8.2 Post-Treatment Care

You agree to follow all post-treatment care instructions provided, including: Avoiding sun exposure and using SPF 30+ sunscreen Avoiding hot showers, saunas, and excessive heat for 24-48 hours Keeping the treated area clean and moisturized Avoiding harsh skincare products or exfoliants as directed

8.3 Consequences of Non-Compliance

Failure to follow pre-treatment or post-treatment instructions may result in reduced effectiveness, increased side effects, or complications.

Bare Laser & Skin Studio is not responsible for adverse outcomes resulting from non-compliance with care instructions.

9. Contraindications & Service Refusal

9.1 Treatment Contraindications

Certain conditions may make laser hair removal or IPL treatments unsafe or unsuitable. You may not be eligible for treatment if you: Are pregnant or breastfeeding Have active skin infections or open wounds in the treatment area Have a history of keloid scarring Are taking photosensitizing medications without medical clearance Have certain medical conditions (as determined during consultation) Have had recent sun exposure, sunburn, or active tan

9.2 Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse or postpone treatment for any client if: Medical history or current condition poses safety concerns Client appears to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol Client behaves in a threatening, abusive, or inappropriate manner Payment has not been received or credit card authorization fails Any other circumstance that, in our professional judgment, makes treatment inadvisable

10. Results & Guarantees

10.1 No Guaranteed Results

While we strive to provide the highest quality treatments, individual results vary based on factors including skin type, hair color, hormonal influences, and adherence to treatment schedules.

We do not guarantee specific results or timelines for achieving desired outcomes.

10.2 Realistic Expectations

Laser hair removal typically achieves 80-90% permanent hair reduction after a complete treatment series.

Multiple sessions (typically 6-8 or more) are required for optimal results.

Maintenance treatments may be necessary due to hormonal changes or activation of new hair follicles over time.

11. Photography & Marketing

11.1 Use of Images

With your written consent, we may photograph treatment areas for before-and-after documentation.

You may grant permission for us to use these images (with your identity protected) for marketing purposes including our website, social media, and promotional materials.

You have the right to refuse photography or use of images at any time.

12. Privacy & Confidentiality

12.1 Client Information

All client information, including medical history, treatment records, and personal contact information, is kept strictly confidential.

13. Liability & Indemnification

13.1 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bare Laser & Skin Studio, its owner, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from: Use of our services or website Inability to use our services Results or lack of results from treatments Complications arising from undisclosed medical conditions or non-compliance with instructions

13.2 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bare Laser & Skin Studio from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from: Your breach of these Terms & Conditions Your violation of any law or regulation Your provision of false or misleading information Your failure to follow pre-treatment or post-treatment instructions

14. Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

14.2 Dispute Process

In the event of any dispute, we encourage you to contact us directly to resolve the matter amicably.

If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be settled through binding arbitration in Edmonton, Alberta, in accordance with the Arbitration Act of Alberta.

15. Communication & Consent

15.1 Marketing Communications

By providing your phone number and email address, you consent to receive: Appointment confirmations and reminders Service-related notifications Marketing and promotional messages (SMS and email) Updates about our services and special offers

15.2 Opt-Out

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by: Replying STOP to any text message Clicking the unsubscribe link in any email Contacting us directly at [email protected] or 587-413-5207

15.3 Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply to SMS communications sent by your mobile carrier.

16. Modifications to Terms
